Why pick a name with a definition, when you can make one up and give it meaning? That was our thinking with ‘Ayoa’ – it’s a name that can grow to mean more as our software does the same. Trust us when we say, there are many exciting things to come.

If you purchased iMindMap 11, please rest assured that you are still able to use this and iMindMap 11 will be supported until January 2023. To view the iMindMap 11 Support Guides, please click here.

To be innovative, you have to embrace change. Our desktop tool, iMindMap, was a great success and allowed users to capture incredible ideas. But as an innovative company, we wanted to take the leap from constricted desktop apps to the endless possibilities which come with cloud-based web software.

Using new technologies, Ayoa has been created to allow us to facilitate creative working where idea sharing can span the whole globe through real-time collaboration. With an infinite amount of people now being able to work together in the visual environment of Ayoa, it has evolved into an all-in-one app encompassing flexible project management, intuitive whiteboards, video calls and instant messaging alongside mind maps, so that it can be enjoyed by all sorts of teams and individuals everywhere.

We do offer free trial of Ayoa. During your trial you will have unlimited full-feature access to Ayoa Ultimate for 7 days. Please note that exports you create during this time will be watermarked.

If you wish to access Ayoa’s full range of powerful features (and unlimited Mind Maps), you will need to subscribe to one of our paid plans. More information can be found on our Pricing page here.

Unlike iMindmap, Ayoa is a Software as a Service (SaaS) product. Here at OpenGenius, we’re always moving forward – the single biggest benefit of using a SaaS model is we can easily provide continual updates and improvements to our users. Under a perpetual license product, we went through 11 versions of iMindMap – that’s a lot. Now, enhancements can be made instantly accessible to our user base.

The modern world is moving increasingly towards subscription-based products – even the entertainment industry has funneled into a new realm of streaming services; this is because it improves overall user experience and better facilitates growth. Ayoa is web-based which means it is accessible anywhere, from any internet connected device. Work is always safe (even if your laptop dies!) and collaboration is easy. We’re an innovation company, and ultimately we have to move with the times to keep providing our customers with the best software possible.

You can share your mind maps with anyone and everyone. If you wish for your peers to experience the full Ayoa experience, simply invite them via their email address to your mind map and they will receive an email invitation to sign up to our 7-day free trial. Depending on the permissions you’ve granted them, they’ll be able to view, edit, comment and add branches to your mind map plus create their own resources in Ayoa. Here’s a guide to adding people to mind maps.

Alternatively, if you feel as though signing up to Ayoa might be a hassle for your creative partner, client or even revision buddy, you can give them access via Ayoa’s Public Mind Map Sharing functionality. No sign up is required and you can even password protect your mind map. Here’s a guide to our Public Mind Map Sharing.

You can also export your mind map as an image, Word document or pdf to share with others.

Yes! By downloading our desktop apps (for Windows and Mac), you’re able to edit your work without an internet connection. Just make sure to connect to the internet at regular intervals to sync your data; you’re only able to permanently save your data by connecting to the internet.

Great news! You can import all of your existing maps from iMindMap into Ayoa. You can do this by navigating to the home page of the app, ‘Create New’, ‘Mind Map’ and then ‘Import’. You also have the option to import files from iMindMap Cloud. You can do this by logging into your Cloud account via Ayoa and then import your mind maps from iMindMap Cloud into Ayoa. Please visit our support guide for more information on how to do this.
